Albert George Rodavich, age 80 and Lenora Missini Rodavich, age 78 of Carmichaels, Pa. died Friday, November 2, 2007 in their home of natural causes. George was born October 12, 1927 in Masontown, Pa. a son of the late Louis and Milka Rodavich. Lenora was born June 8, 1929 in Brownsville, Pa. a daughter of the late Dominick and Julia Fetherol Missini. Lenora was a 1947 graduate of Jefferson High School and a homemaker. She and George resided most of their lives in the Carmichaels area. They both attended St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Carmichaels. George worked for Gateway Coal Company having retired in 1990. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America, Gateway Local 6330. George served in the United States Army during WW II in the Pacific Theater. The couple was married on April 5, 1951 and celebrated over 56 years of marriage. Surviving are their four sons, Louis G. Rodavich and his wife Sharon of Carmichaels, David Rodavich and his wife Donna of Garards Fort, Theodore Rodavich and his wife Laura of Pittsburgh and Richard G. Rodavich and his fiancé Jenny Campbell of Carmichaels; two daughters, Carla M. Paull and her husband David of Springhill, Fla. and Diane L. Checchi and her husband Robert of Shamokin; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. George is also survived by two sisters, Mildred Nycum of Florida and Melva Hunchuck of Masontown. Lenora is also survived by a brother Ned Missini of Clarksville, Pa. and one sister, Cecelia Falcon of Clarksville, Pa. Deceased are George's two brothers Ralph and Nick Rodavich and six sisters, Elizabeth Krovocheck, Amelia Posgay, Ida Bates, Ann Prica, Josephine Craver, and Diane Michaels and Lenora's three brothers, Tony, Arthur and Lou Missini and two sisters Eva Milovac and Viola Coletti. Family and friends are welcome from 1:00 to 3:00 PM and 6:00 to 9:00 PM Monday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home (724-966-5500), Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street (Route 88), Carmichaels, Pa. where friends will gather at 11:00 A.M. in the Funeral Home Tuesday, November 6, 2007 to proceed to Greene County Memorial Park for the committal service. Full military graveside rites will be accorded by Cumberland American Legion Post 400 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3491.
