Charlotte Nieman Corder

Charlotte Nieman Corder, 85 of Prince Frederick, Md., formerly of Nemacolin, Pa. died Sunday, December 9, 2007 in Calvert Country Nursing Care, Prince Frederick, Md. She was born April 23, 1922 in Uniontown, Pa. a daughter of the late Harry Boyd and Ella Katherine (Walters) Nieman, Sr. Mrs. Corder was a 1940 graduate of Cumberland Township High School and lived in Nemacolin most of her life. She worked for the Union Supply Co. (USCO) for about ten years in the late 1940's to the late 1950's. Mrs. Corder worked for Dick Wright Ford Garage from 1958 until 1967, then worked for Fike Chevrolet until 1977. In 1978 she worked for Fisher Big Wheel in Waynesburg, Pa. and retired in 1992. Mrs. Corder was a member of the Greene Valley Presbyterian Church in Carmichaels, Pa. In 1941 she married her first husband, Clarence L. Blaker. In July of 1960, she married her second husband, Ernest Corder, who died in 1969. Surviving is a daughter Pamela B. Diamond and her husband, Brack of Huntingtown, Md.; two grandchildren, David B. Diamond and Stephen D. Diamond; two great grandchildren and a niece and three nephews. Deceased in addition to her parents and husbands are a brother Harry Boyd Nieman, Jr. and a sister Yolande Blaker. Family and friends are welcome from 7 to 9 P.m. on Friday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 15, 2007 with the Rev. Harold O. Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Wayneburg, Pa. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Greene Valley Presbyterian Church, P. O. Box 363, Carmichaels, Pa. 15320.
