Clara Marie Collage, 79, of Rices Landing, Pa., died unexpectedly at 8:00 A.M. on Monday, November 27, 2006 at Southwest Regional Medical Center, Waynesburg, Pa. She was born January 20, 1927 in Uniontown, Pa., a daughter of the late Joseph M. and Anna Marie Hidock Nevedale. Mrs. Collage was a 1945 graduate of Mapletown High School and resided in the Rices Landing area most of her life. She worked as a waitress for many years at the Hartley Inn of Carmichaels and several other restaurants in Greene County. Mrs. Collage retired after eight years as a housemother for the former Youth Development Center in Waynesburg, Pa. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was known for her kindness to her family and friends. On July 5, 1946, she married John W. Collage, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Margaret A. (Peggy) Shockley, her caretaker at home, Karen L. Hartley and her husband, David of Rices Landing and Mel M. Behrens and her husband, Klaus of Houston, Pa.; three grandchildren, Shannon B. Smereczniak and her husband, Jeff, Jennifer M. Felton and her husband, Samuel and David J. Hartley and his wife, Jenn; six great grandchildren, Hannah and Justin Smereczniak, Julia M. and Joseph A. Felton and Jonathan and Dylan Hartley; sisters and brother, Mildred Sharpnack of Elyria, Ohio, Dorothy Eckovich and her husband, Sam of Escondido, Cal. and John Nevedale and his wife, Dorothy of Elyria and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are seven brothers, Robert, Joseph, Steve, Andrew, Adam, Michael and Frank Nevedale and five sisters, Frances Nevedale, who died in infancy, Sophie Martens, Mary Chekosky, Betty Rybik and Helen Kelley. Family and friends are welcomed from 7 to 9 P.M. on Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. on Wednesday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street, Carmichaels, Pa. where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, November 30, 2006 with Rev. Kenneth Schott officiating. Interment will follow at Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg, Pa. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
