Edna Shipley

Edna Jean Shipley, 82 of Carmichaels, Pa., died at 5:09 P.M. on Friday, December 15, 2006 at Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, W. Va. with her loving family by her side. She was born October 13, 1924 in Newboro, Pa., a daughter of the late James and Lenora Campbell. Mrs. Shipley was a graduate of Uniontown High School and resided in Carmichaels most of her life. She was a member of the First Christian Church of New Salem. Mrs. Shipley was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be sadly missed and will be forever in her family's hearts. Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Paul H. Shipley, whom she married in July of 1943; two sons, David Allan Shipley and his wife, Tammy of Masontown, Pa. and Paul Richard Shipley and his wife, Claudia of Carmichaels; a daughter, Deborah Jean Stull and her husband, William of Carmichaels; six grandchildren, James, Kenneth, Lisa, Tricia, Melinda and Amber; several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a son, James Edward Shipley; an infant daughter, Terri Lynn Shipley; a brother, Russell Campbell and a sister, Rose Marie Jones. Family and friends are welcomed from 5 to 8 P.M. on Sunday and 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M., the hour of service on Monday, December 18, 2006 in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street, Carmichaels, Pa. The Rev. Domenick Sgro will officiate. Interment will follow at Laurel Point Cemetery, Carmichaels. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Red Cross, P. O. Box 37243, Washington, DC 20013.
