Edward Mateleska, 57, of Greensboro, Pa., died at 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 25, 2008 at Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, W. Va. He was born April 18, 1951 in Franklin Township, Greene County, Pa., a son of George Mateleska, Jr. of Bobtown, Pa. and the late Pauline C. (Beck) Mateleska. Mr. Mateleska was a 1969 graduate of Mapletown High School and resided in Dunkard and Monongahela Townships in Greene County all of his life. He worked as a carpenter as long as his health permitted. Mr. Mateleska was a member of the Bobtown Rod and Gun Club and a social member of the American Legion at Point Marion, Pa. Surviving in addition to his father are a brother, Michael David Mateleska and his wife, Janice of Hewitt, Texas; a niece, Ashley Mateleska; a nephew, Michael Mateleska and a special friend, Lucy L. Brumley of Greensboro. Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. on Tuesday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 in the funeral home and a graveside committal will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday May 28, 2008 at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Point Marion. Pastor Fred W. Tomlinson will officiate.
