Ellen I. (Dunham) Long, 76 of Rices Landing, Pa. and formerly of Brookpark, Ohio, died Tuesday, October 9, 2007 in Canonsburg General Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born April 8, 1931 in Leckrone, Fayette County, Pa. a daughter of the late John and Edna (Skiles) Dunham. Mrs. Long was a 1949 graduate of German Township High School. She was a longtime member of the Hewitt Presbyterian Church where she was a former member of the choir. Mrs. Long was a homemaker and a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Ohio. She and her husband, Louis, returned to reside in Rices Landing in 1976. On October 19, 1957 she married Louis R. Long, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Gale D. Long of Chesapeake, Va. and Melanie L. Downey of Rices Landing, Pa, a granddaughter Ashley N. Downey of Rices Landing and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are two brothers, Robert Dunham, who died in infancy and Edward Dunham. Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 P.M. and 7 to 9 P.M. Thursday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street, Carmichaels, Pa. where services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 12, 2007 with the Rev. Wm. Bradford Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg, Pa. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Hewitt Presbyterian Church, 121 Crucible Road, Rices Landing, Pa. 15357.
