Ernest C. Lint, age 83, of Carmichaels, Pa., died Wednesday, May 7, 2008 in Golden Living Center, Waynesburg, Pa. following a brief illness. He was born July 31, 1924 in Superior, Pa., Fayette Co. a son of the late Wilbur and May (Reddick) Lint. Mr. Lint was a 1942 graduate of Cumberland Township High School. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served as a mechanic in the Medical Corp during WWII. He owned and operated Ernie Lint's Auto Service in Carmichaels from 1963 until he retired in 1989. Mr. Lint was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3491 and the Cumberland American Legion Post 400 both of Carmichaels and a member of the Queen City – Christopher G. Fox Lodge No. 358 F. & A. M. in Amherst, NY. He enjoyed working outdoors and also enjoyed hunting. On October 14, 1946 he married Burdetta Holdren who survives. Also surviving is a daughter Carol Midcap and her husband Rev. Edward Midcap of Alderson, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Anita Bell, Jennifer Perry, William Thoma and Frank Skrzycki and seven great grandchildren; one sister Ruth Sellon of Snyder, NY. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his parents is a daughter Patricia Skrzycki; three brothers Harlan Lint, Arthur Lint who was Killed in Action during WWII and Kenneth Lint who died in infancy; three sisters, Irene, Francis and Laverne. Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 12, 2008. The Rev. Roger C. Saunders will officiate. Interment will follow in Laurel Point Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be accorded by Cumberland American Legion Post 400 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3491.
