Esther Flynn

Esther Jean "Bubbie" Flynn, 75, of Mount Morris, Pa. and formerly of Newtown, Pa., died at 8:07 P.M. on Thursday, April 5, 2007 at her home. She was born April 15, 1931 in Monongahela Township, Greene County, Pa., a daughter of the late Samuel Alexander and Mary (Blout) Calabris. Mrs. Flynn resided in Greene County all of her life and was a member of the St. Ignatius of Antioch Parish in Bobtown, Pa. In 1990, she retired from the housekeeping department of the West Virginia University Hospital. Mrs. Flynn enjoyed spending time with her family in Florida and especially cherished the company of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. On October 30, 1947, she married Peter "P. J." Flynn, who died November 6, 1990. Surviving are two sons, Peter J. Flynn, Jr. and his wife, Patricia of Nashville, Tenn. and Thomas J. Flynn and his wife, Janice of Greensboro, Pa.; three daughters, Linda M. Dorsey and her husband, James of Greensboro, Cindy J. Miller and her husband, Charles of Mount Morris and Judy Yost and her husband, Duane of Mount Morris; eight grandchildren, Thomas J. Flynn, Jr. and his wife, Stacey, Peter "P. J." Flynn, Jr., Andrea Jensen and her husband, Geoff, Tammy L. Weston and her husband, Jeff, Amy M. Litwinovich and her husband, Ryan, Courtney Miller, Lindsey Yost and Justin Yost; seven great grandchildren, Travis Weston, Brandi Flynn, Tanner Weston, Ian Flynn, Lake Litwinovich and twins, Jack and Wyatt Jensen; a brother, Samuel R. Calabris, Jr. of Carmichaels; a sister, Marie Stewart and her husband, Earl of Manor, Pa.; a half sister, Joan Baloh and her husband, John of McClellandtown, Pa. and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are welcomed from 2 to 9 P.M. on Monday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street, Carmichaels, Pa. where a blessing service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 with the Rev. Lawrence V. Holpp officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery, Davistown, Pa.
