William Wilson Gardner, Jr., 32 of Point Marion, Pa., died unexpectedly Thursday evening, August 24, 2006 as the result of a boating accident on the Monongahela River at Point Marion. He was born January 9, 1974 in Morgantown, W. Va., a son of William Wilson Gardner, Sr. of Dilliner, Pa. and Norma Lee Shipp Gardner of Smithfield, Pa. Mr. Gardner was a 1993 graduate of Albert Gallatin High School and resided in the Point Marion area all of his life. He enjoyed fishing and playing the guitar. On June 24, 2000, he married Rachel K. Brashear, who survives. Also surviving are a son, William Wilson Gardner, III, at home; a daughter, Jessica at home; two brothers, Scott E. Gardner and his wife, Samantha of Lake Lynn, Pa. and Brian J. Gardner of Reynoldsville, Pa.; two sisters, Shana N. Gardner of Smithfield and Jessi L. Gardner of Dilliner; his maternal grandmother, Helen J. Hixon of New Geneva, Pa.; two nieces; two nephews and several aunts and uncles. Deceased are his maternal grandfather, William D. Hixon and his paternal grandparents, Albert F. and Loretta Q. Gardner. Family and friends are welcomed from Noon to 3 and 6 to 8 P.M. on Sunday and from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M, the hour of service on Monday, August 28, 2006 in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street, Carmichaels, Pa. Pastor Roy Hetrick will officiate. Interment will follow at Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg, Pa.
