Harry E. Kuntz

Harry E. Kuntz, 68, a resident of Pratt's Boarding Home, Carmichaels, Pa., died at 1:55 P.M. on Thursday, July 3, 2008 at Southwest Regional Medical Center, Waynesburg, Pa. He was born October 4, 1939 in Grays Landing, Pa., a son of the late Russell H. Kuntz, Sr. and Agnes G. (Beattie) Kuntz. Mr. Kuntz resided in Carmichaels most of his life where he was a social member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3491 and a former member of the former Slovanic Club in Carmichaels. He had worked at the U. S. Steel Rebena Mine and later at the Consolidated Coal Company Dilworth Mine. Mr. Kuntz enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Surviving are two sons, John E. Kuntz of Carmichaels and Jeremy A. Kuntz of Coraopolis, Pa.and his fiancé Melissa Hawthorne; a daughter, Tracey L. Zites of Carmichaels and her fiancé, Paul Rhodes; eight grandchildren, Alicia Zites, Nikia Kuntz, Chelsea Kuntz, Cody Kuntz, Cory Kuntz, Clarissa Tennie, Sophia Kuntz and Hailee Kuntz ; two brothers, Franklin Newton (Tootie) Kuntz of Grand River, Ohio and Russell H. (Junior) Kuntz and his wife, Nancy of Waynesburg; three sisters, Naomi Cole and her husband, Lawrence of Dry Tavern, Pa., Myrtle Kuntz of Bobtown and Delores Webb Kuntz of Tennessee, several nieces and nephews and the mother of his children, Sandra Cox Laux of Carmichaels. Deceased are three brothers, Herbert (Herb) Kuntz, Johnny Kuntz and Robert T. Kuntz and three sisters, Elsie May Tharp, Ruth V. Helmick and Rachel M. Workman. Family and friends are welcome from 5 to 7 P.M. on Friday and Noon to 1:00 P. M., the hour of service on Saturday, July 5, 2008 in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. The Rev. P. Keith Larson will officiate. Interment will follow at Greendale Cemetery, Masontown, Pa.
