James David Torma, 61, of Virginia Beach, Va. and formerly of Greensboro, Pa., passed away Thursday, January 10, 2008. He was born October 19, 1946, a son of the late James and Ruth (Hardy) Torma. Mr. Torma was a 1964 graduate of Mapletown High School and graduated from the West Virginia University School of Engineering in 1969. He was employed by Texas Instruments before beginning his career with the Atlantic Division of the Naval Facilities Engineering in Norfolk, Va. Mr. Torma resided in Virginia Beach for the past 35 years. Surviving are his wife, Susan Torma and three sisters, Betsy Kirkpatrick and Betty Zajac, both of Uniontown, Pa. and Barbara Griffin, of Morgantown, W. Va. and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at the Griffin residence, 150 Northwoods Dr., Morgantown, WV 26508.
