Jeffrey S. Wright, 41 of Mount Morris, Pa., died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 13, 2008 as the result of an accident on I-79 between the Waynesburg and Kirby exits in Greene County. He was born November 20, 1966 in Rochester, Pa., the son of Nancy Pearl (Lee) Wright of Mount Morris, Pa. and the late Richard D. Wright. Mr. Wright was a 1984 graduate of Waynesburg Central High School and in 1986, enlisted into the U. S. Army, 101st Airborne Air Assault Division. He served in Fort Campbell, Kentucky until 1990 when he was sent to participate in Dessert Storm in Saudi Arabia, Kwait and Iraq. In 1991, he returned from the Middle East to complete his tour at Fort Campbell. Mr. Wright served with the Caisson Unit at Arlington National Cemetery with the Old Guard until his discharge in 1994. He participated in President Clinton's inaugural parade in 1992 with the Caisson Unit. Mr. Wright worked as a Security Team Corrections Officer at SCI-Greene at Waynesburg, Pa. since 1995. He was a former member of the Corrections Emergency Response Team (C. E. R. T.) at the prison. Mr. Wright enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors and working on his family farm. He especially cherished the company of his family, enjoyed riding four wheelers and dirt bikes with his children on the family farm and taking his family on outings. On January 23, 1988, he married Debra A. Grimm, who survives. Also surviving are two children at home, Brianna Lynn Wright and Jacob Scott Wright, a brother, Richard D. Wright of Waynesburg, Pa. and two sisters, Yvonne Kurchava and her husband, Jeffrey of Carmichaels and T. J. Wilson and her husband, Carl of Mount Morris, his father and mother-in-law, Jacob J. Grimm, Jr. and Evelyn Grimm, of Murrells, Inlet, S. C. and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Deceased in addition to his father are his maternal and paternal grandparents. Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. on Wednesday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 17, 2008. Pastor Timothy D. Tanner will officiate. Interment will follow at Garards Fort Cemetery, Garards Fort, Pa. The Department of Corrections SCI-Greene Honor Guard will accord military honors at the graveside.
