Josephine Lasko, 77, of Carmichaels, Pa., died unexpectedly at 7:00 A. M. on Thursday, June 1, 2006 at her home. She was born May 22, 1929 in Cherry Valley, Pa., a daughter of Sophia Wasik Kotouch of Burgettstown, Pa. and the late Adolf Kotouch. Mrs. Lasko was a graduate of Cumberland Township High School and resided most of her life in Carmichaels. She was a Catholic. Mrs. Lasko worked in the cafeteria of the former Nemacolin and Central Elementary Schools in the Carmichaels Area School District. She enjoyed working puzzles and cross word puzzles, crocheting and gardening. Her husband, Donald R. Lasko, died September 4, 1968. Surviving in addition to her mother are four sons, Donald R. Lasko, Jr. and his wife, Rhonda of Arlington, Va., Kim L. Lasko and his wife, Donna of Maynard, Mass., Remy S. Lasko of New Market, Md. and Roger A. Lasko of Carmichaels; three grandchildren, Nicholas Lasko, Benjamin Lasko and Tyler Lasko; a brother, Robert Kotouch and his wife, Patty of Bulger, Pa. and several nieces and nephews. Deceased is a brother, Wil Kotouch. Family and friends are welcomed to attend a blessing service at 6:00 P. M. on Sunday, June 4. 2006 in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street, Carmichaels, Pa. with the Rev. Francis A. Nazimek officiating. Visitation will continue in the funeral home Sunday evening until 8:00 P. M. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
