Babe Calabris, 75 of Carmichaels, Pa. and formerly of Greensboro, Pa., died at 4:50 P.M. on Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at Cherry Tree Nursing Center, Uniontown, Pa. after a lengthy illness. She was born August 10, 1931 in Bobtown, Pa. a daughter of the late Harry F. and Jennie F. Harris Wiltrout. Mrs. Calabris was a 1950 graduate of Point Marion High School and worked at the former Houze Glass Company in Point Marion for about 10 years. She resided in Greensboro, Pa. most of her life and resided in Carmichaels for the past 15 years. Mrs. Calabris was a member of the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church of Greensboro. She bowled in a couples league in Masontown, Pa. for a number of years and was known for her home made spaghetti. Mrs. Calabris cooked at the former Sam and Bills Restaurant in Carmichaels for about five years and later cooked at Sam's Take-Out in Carmichaels for about five years. She was a loving wife and mother and will be dearly missed by her family. On May 15, 1954, she married Samuel R. Calabris, Jr., who survives. Also surviving are a son, Samuel R. Calabris, III and his wife, Cathy of Carmichaels; two grandchildren, Carly Dankovich and Nicholas Celli; two brothers, Harry R. Wiltrout and his wife, Mary of Cleveland, Ohio and Edward E. Wiltrout and his wife, Carolyn of Scenery Hill, Pa.; three sisters, Gayle Haller of Naples, Fla., Grace Longo of Cleveland and Doris Bodnovich and her husband, Kenneth of Greensboro; a sister-in-law, Wilda Wiltrout of Greensboro and several nieces and nephews. Deceased is a brother, William J. Wiltrout. No public viewing or memorial service is planned. The Yoskovich Funeral Home, Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street, Carmichaels is in charge of arrangements. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to a hospice of the donor's choice.
