Dolores Mallory

August 30, 1931 — September 24, 2006

Dolores Jean Wilson Mallory, 75 of Nemacolin, Pa., passed away peacefully at her home with her family at her side at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 24, 2006 after a lengthy illness. She was born August 30, 1931 in Mount Sterling (Masontown), Pa., a daughter of the late Stewart Wilson and Mildred Darrell Weaver. Mrs. Mallory was a 1949 graduate of German Township High School and resided in Nemacolin since 1964. She was a member of the Greene Valley Presbyterian Church of Carmichaels and a former member of the Carmichaels Women's Civic Club. Mrs. Mallory had worked at Brown's 5 & 10 in Masontown, Pa., Ronco Union Supply in Ronco, Pa. and the Carmichaels Area High School cafeteria. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards, cooking and baking. Mrs. Mallory cherished the company of her family and was very proud of her grandchildren. On April 20, 1952, she married John R. Mallory, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, John R. Mallory, Jr. and his wife, Linda of Forest, Va. and Bruce R. Mallory, her primary caregiver at home for the past two years; a daughter, Devonna "Dee" Jean Malesky of Masontown; five grandchildren, Matthew Mallory, Melissa Mallory, Meredith Mallory, Mallory Malesky and Robert T. Mallory; a brother, Robert Weaver and his wife, Annette of Brownsville, Pa.; two sisters, Mary Jane Marker and her husband, Raymond of Mt. Pleasant, Pa. and Eva Pishko of Fairchance, Pa. and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are an infant son; two brothers, J. L. Harshman and Joseph "Junior" Harshman; a sister, Grace Adams and her step father, William Weaver. Family and friends are welcomed from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. on Wednesday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street, Carmichaels, Pa. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 28, 2006 at the Greene Valley Presbyterian Church, 104 E. Greene St., Carmichaels with the Rev. Harold O. Kelley officiating. Interment will follow at Church Hill Cemetery, McClellandtown, Pa. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Organ Fund of the Greene Valley Presbyterian Church, P. O. Box 363, Carmichaels, PA 15320.
