Mary Blout

Mary A. Blout, 84, of Greensboro, Pa. and formerly of Bobtown, Pa., died at 4:30 P.M. on Thursday, June 7, 2007 at Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, W. Va. She was born December 7, 1922 in Puritan, Fayette County, Pa., a daughter of the late Andrew and Caroline (Bajgier) Bochnak. Mrs. Blout was a graduate of the former Point Marion High School and resided in Greensboro most of her life where she was a member of the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church. She was a former member of the Rosary Altar Society at Holy Family and enjoyed cooking. Mrs. Blout cherished the company of her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. On November 22, 1942, she married Vincent P. Blout, who died February 1, 1992. Surviving are twin sons, Jerry V. Blout and his wife, Wella of Mount Dora, Fla. and Larry V. Blout and his wife, Dorothy of Madison, Ohio; five grandchildren, Vince W. Blout, Jerri Lynn Groves, Shari Cattell, Jennifer Blout and Jeff Blout; seven great grandchildren, Alexander, Avery, Christy, Katie, Jonathan, Cassey and Jake; three brothers, Joseph Bochnak and his wife, Patricia of Mansfield, Ohio, Walter Bochnak and his wife, JoAnn of Colorado Springs, Col. and Robert Bochnak and his wife, Jeanette of Chicago, Ill.; four sisters, Angeline Ebner and Rose Kostiuk, both of Chicago, Alice Pohalski and her husband, Joseph of Portage, Ind. and Frances Zalar of Concord, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Eleanor Gruber of Chicago and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are two brothers, John Bochnak and Andrew Bochnak and a sister, Agnes Goldyn. Family and friends are welcomed from Noon to 3 and 6 to 8 P.M. on Sunday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home (724-966-5500), Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street (Route 88), Carmichaels, Pa. where a blessing service will be held at 10:15 A.M. on Monday, June 11, 2007, followed by a Mass of the Resurrection at 11:00 A.M. at the Holy Family Worship Site of the St. Ignatius of Antioch Parish, Greensboro with the Rev. Lawrence V. Holpp as celebrant. Interment will follow at Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg, Pa. A vigil service will be held at 7:30 P.M. on Sunday in the funeral home.
