Mary Svistak Jurczak, 85 of Carmichaels, Pa., died peacefully at her home on Saturday, February 23, 2008. She was born February 24, 1922 in Masontown, Pa., a daughter of the late Charles and Pauline (Sabol) Svistak. Mrs. Jurczak lived most of her life in Carmichaels where she was a homemaker. She also enjoyed gardening. On August 27, 1944, she married Frank R. Jurczak, who died February 4, 1992. Surviving are two daughters, Mary Jean Kinney and her husband, Arlan of Waynesburg, Pa. and Patricia Andrews of Centreville, Va.; a son, Frank David Jurczak at home; four grandchildren, Mary Kathleen Van de Meulebroecke of London, England, Kimberly Lynn Florek of Ocean Pines, Md., Thomas J. Kelly of Waynesburg and James P. Andrews, III of Centreville; four great grandchildren, Erin K. Florek and Rachel M. Florek, both of Ocean Pines, Mary Kate Van de Meulebroecke and Clare Kelly Van de Meulebroecke, both of London; two sisters, Julia Svistak Kerr and Katheryn Svistak Yeash, both of Carmichaels and many beloved nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Deceased are four brothers, Charles Svistak, John Svistak, Frank Svistak and Michael Svistak and two sisters, Anna Svistak Mulik and Pauline Svistak Lucas Fudala. There will be no public viewing and services and interment will be private. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
