Paul Lewis Haney, 71, a lifetime resident of Mapletown, Pa., went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 21, 2007 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W. Va. He was born December 3, 1935 in Mapletown, a son of the late Clarence Colvin and Lucy Leona (Tanner) Haney. Paul graduated from Mapletown High School and lived his entire life in Mapletown. He worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation as a supervisor until his retirement in 1991. After retirement, he started his own locksmith service. Paul was a member of the Greensboro and Monongahela Township Volunteer Fire Company, was a dedicated Steelers fan, enjoyed gardening, hunting and most of all, spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann (DeRigo) Haney, whom he married on September 7, 1953. Paul was the proud father of five devoted daughters, Marilyn Caldwell and her husband, Dan of Mapletown, Susie Franks and her husband, Ed of Parkersburg, W. Va., Christy Mayle and her husband, Ron of Morgantown, W. Va., Bridget Haney and her husband, Andrew of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Dianna Griffin and her husband, Rick of Dilliner, Pa. Also surviving are fourteen beautiful grandchildren, Amy Dwyer, Josh Caldwell, Christopher Caldwell, Tim Caldwell, Jesse Caldwell, Nathan Caldwell, Ryan Perkins, Adam Perkins, Alaina Caldwell, Amanda Griffin, Jonathan Caldwell, Mary Kate Ashley Griffin, Chelse Fertal and Morgan Perkins; eight precious great-grandchildren, Christopher and Jacob Caldwell, Gabriel Caldwell, Eoin Dwyer, Marigny Dwyer, Emily Caldwell, Noah Caldwell and Cyla Caldwell and a brother Vernon Haney and his wife, Mary Lou of Mapletown. Deceased are three brothers Wilbur (Pedro), Leslie (Jake) and Harold Haney and a sister Hilda H. Brumley. Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 9 P.M. on Monday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street, Carmichaels, Pa. where a Blessing Service will be held at 9:30 A.M. on Tuesday, September 25, 2007 followed by a Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00 A.M. in the Holy Family Worship Site of the St. Ignatius of Antioch Parish, Greensboro with the Rev. Lawerence V. Holpp as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Monongahela Hill Cemetery, Greensboro. A Parish Vigil will be held on Monday at 8:30 P.M. in the funeral home.
