Peggy Louise Baily, 84, of Waynesburg, Pa., died at 11:10 P.M. on Monday, January 7, 2007 at the Golden Living Center-Waynesburg. She was born July 11, 1923 in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late Ralford and Nella (Hoskinson) Baily. Mrs. Baily was a graduate of Waynesburg High School and was a volunteer for the American Red Cross during World War II. In 1947, she graduated from Waynesburg College and was an active poll worker in her younger years. Miss Baily was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Waynesburg and the Democratic Women's Club. She was a former member of the Eva K. Bowlby Library Club and knitted for the Seamen's Institute of New York City. Her caretaker was Karen E. Maset of Waynesburg. She was the last of her immediate family. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at Oakmont Cemetery, Waynesburg where she will be laid to rest next to her mother and grandparents. The Rev. Harold O. Kelley will officiate. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the West Virginia Women Work!, 1137 Van Voorhis Road, #15 Chelsea Square, Morgantown, WV 26505.
