Retha M. Davis

Retha M. Davis, 93, of Carmichaels, Pa., died at 7:37 A.M. on Saturday, August 25, 2007 at Precious Moments Personal Care Home, Carmichaels. She was born July 24, 1914 in Springhill Township, Fayette County, Pa., a daughter of the late Oliver P. and Eva Jane (Larmon) Morton. Mrs. Davis resided in Carmichaels since 1935 where she was a charter member of the First Christian Church. She worked as a switchboard operator supervisor for the former South Penn Telephone Company in Greene County for 15 years. On March 4, 1952, she married Fred William Davis, who died in December 24, 1978. Surviving are several nieces and nephews and her caretaker for many years, Don Yarish and his wife, Joan, of Carmichaels. Deceased is a sister, Helen Conn. Mrs. Davis was the last of her immediate family. Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. on Monday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street, Carmichaels, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 with the Rev. James R. Donahoo officiating. Interment will follow at Greene County Memoral Park.
