Robert E. Cutwright, 72, of Carmichaels, Pa., died at 10:20 A.M. on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W. Va. He was born August 23, 1935 in New Salem, Pa., a son of the late Lawrence and Evelyn M. (Brashear) Cutwright. During the Korean Conflict, Mr. Cutwright served with the U. S. Air Force as an aircraft mechanic and was stationed in Alaska. He resided in Carmichaels since 1969 where he was a member of the First Christian Church. Mr. Cutwright was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3491 of Carmichaels, a member of Valley Lodge No. 459, F. & A. M., Masontown, Pa., the Uniontown Lodge of Perfection, Scottish Rite Bodies in the Valley of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Syria Temple, A. A. O. N. M. S., Pittsburgh. He worked at the former Nemacolin Mine and retired from the Allegheny Energy Hatfield Power Station. On April 7, 1957, he married Mary Ann Albright, who died March 20, 2008. He and his wife owned and operated Cutwright Printing in Carmichaels since 1971. Mr. Cutwright enjoyed antique and classic cars, attending flea markets and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He cherished the company of his family, especially his granddaughters. Surviving are three sons, David Cutwright and his wife, Terri of Carmichaels, Timothy Cutwright and Robert Cutwright, both of Indian Trail, N. C.; a daughter, Kathy Litton and her husband, Randy of Indian Trail; four granddaughters, Sarah, Emily, Hannah and Abby Cutwright; three brothers, Richard H. Cutwright and his wife, Ruth of Carmichaels, Daniel Cutwright and his wife, Joan of Kissimmee, Fla. and Gregory E. Cutwright and his wife, Wanda of Nemacolin, Pa.; a sister, Emmaline Mayle of Carmichaels and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are five brothers, Calvin and Samuel Cutwright, who died in childhood, Lawrence Cutwright, Boyd Cutwright and Thomas Cutwright and a sister, Rose Johnson. Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. on Monday and from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M., the hour of service on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. The Rev. Domenick Sgro will officiate. Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3491 and Cumberland American Legion Post 400 will accord military honors immediately following the funeral service at the funeral home. Valley Lodge No. 459, F. & A. M. will conduct Masonic Services at 7:30 P.M. on Monday in the funeral home.
