Ronald Johnston, Jr.

Ronald Lee Johnston Jr., 38, a resident of Cleveland, Tenn. and formerly of Carmichaels, Pa., died Wednesday evening, August 29, 2007, in a local hospital. He was a graduate of Carmichaels Area High School and was employed as a security officer at the Bradley County Juvenile Detention Center, where he had just been awarded the rank of corporal. Mr. Johnston was a devoted member of the Mountain View Church of God and served with the U. S. Army. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. Mr. Johnston is survived by his loving wife, Christine Riddle Johnston; parents, Ronald Lee Johnston Sr. and Judith Johnston; daughter, Sierra Jasmine Johnston; sisters: Rhonda Leanne (Jeffrey) Holbert and Sherri Anne (Phillip) Chapman, all of Cleveland; stepbrother, Lloyd Shisler Jr. of Morgantown, W.Va.; stepsister, Catherine Marie Cooper of Ohio; mother and father-in-law, David C. and Beverly J. Riddle of Cleveland; and brother-in-law, John (Tina) Riddle; sister-in-law, Kimberly and Rand Witz; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral was held at 3 P.M. on Saturday, September 1, 2007, at Mountain View Church of God with senior pastor the Rev. Fred Mercer officiating. Interment followed in Beaty Cemetery, McDonald, Tenn. The graveside service was concluded with full military honors.
