Steve Maddish

Steve Maddish, 84 of Carmichaels, Pa., formerly of Crucible, Pa., died at 10:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 in Southwest Regional Medical Center, Waynesburg, Pa. He was born February 14, 1924 in Crucible a son of the late Nikola and Dragina (Sumonja) Maddish. Mr. Maddish lived in the Crucible area all of his life and was a life long member of the St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Carmichaels. Surviving are a sister Helen Mayer of St. Clairsville, Ohio; a brother Nick Maddish and his wife Janet of Rices Landing, Pa. and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are four sisters Anna Menhart, Mildred Demchak, Bessie Brozovich and Stella Vrcic and a brother Charles "Bill" Madich. Family and friends are welcome from 5:00 to 8:00 P. M. Friday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home (724-966-5500), Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street (Route 88), Carmichaels, Pa. Additional visitation will take place on Saturday, April 26, 2008 from 12:30 to 1:00 P. M., the hour of Funeral Services in the St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, Carmichaels with the Rev. Rodney Torbic officiating. Interment will follow in St. George Serbian Orthodox Cemetery. A Pomen Service will be held at 5:00 P. M. on Friday in the funeral home.
