Violet Rapchak

Violet M. Rapchak, 64 of Crucible, Pa., died at 2:50 A.M. on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Waynesburg, Pa. She was born February 26, 1942 in Masontown, Pa., a daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Daugherty) Bowman. Mrs. Rapchak enjoyed flower gardening, the outdoors and the company of her family, especially her grandchildren. Her husband, Michael Rapchak, Jr., died September 18, 2001. Surviving are a son, John W. Rapchak of Carmichaels; two daughters, Tammy J. Burnworth and her husband, Dave of Carmichaels and Marcie J. Rapchak of Mather, Pa.; eight grandchildren, Tennille Dowlin, Anthony Burnworth, Brandon Brumley, Karleigh Cratty, Kyle Cratty, Keaton Cratty, Shannon Rhodes and Mandi Rapchak; two great grandchildren, David and Mackenzie Burnworth; two brothers, Richard Bowman and his wife, Rose of Carmichaels and Robert Bowman of Uniontown, Pa.; two sisters, Shirley Julian and her husband, Frank of Claysville, Pa. and Jean King of New Salem, Pa. and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a brother, Russell Bowman and a sister, Eleanor Little. Friends are welcomed to gather with the family from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M., the hour of a memorial service on Friday, February 9, 2007 in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street, Carmichaels, Pa. Pastor Frank Menhart will officiate.
