Virginia A. Baranowski of Bobtown, Pa., died at 3:50 P.M. on Friday, May 11, 2007 at Sundale Nursing Home, Morgantown, W. Va. She was born in Century, near Brownsville, Pa., a daughter of the late John and Victoria (Racis) Baranowski. Miss Baranowski resided in Bobtown most of her life where she was a member of the St. Ignatius of Antioch Parish. She worked as a stenographer and payroll clerk for the Jones and Laughlin Steel Corporation at the Bobtown Mine for 38 years. Surviving are a sister, Anna Marie Baranowski, with whom she made her home in Bobtown; a brother, John Baranowski and his wife, Stella of Parma, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a brother, Stanley Baranowski, who died in infancy and a sister, Sophia Podolinski and her husband, Michael. Family and friends are welcomed from Noon to 3 and 6 to 8 P.M. on Sunday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street, Carmichaels, Pa. A blessing service will be held at 10:15 A.M. on Monday, May 14, 2007 in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of the Resurrection at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Ignatius of Antioch Roman Catholic Church, Bobtown with the Rev. John M. Bauer as celebrant. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Point Marion, Pa. A Vigil Service will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Sunday in the funeral home.
