Willi Behrens

Willi Behrens, 91 of Strabane Woods, Washington, Pa., passed away on Friday, July 4, 2008 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 31, 1917 in Lubeck, Germany, a son of the late Hermann and Hedwig Behrens. Mr. Behrens came to the United States in 1951 and resided in Knox, Pa. until moving to Washington in 2007. He was employed at Knox Glass until his retirement. Mr. Behrens was a member of Grace Evangelical Congregation Church, Ninevah, Pa. On June 8, 1946, he married his beloved wife, Ilse, who passed away on November 25, 2001. Surviving are his son, Klaus D. Behrens and his wife, Melvina; a granddaughter, Jennifer M. Felton and her husband, Samuel A. Felton; two great grandchildren, Julia and Joseph Felton and a sister, Lucie Culbertson. Deceased are a brother, Hans Behrens and a sister, Hilda Verbeek. At the request of the family, a private funeral service was held at the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. The Rev. Dr. Kenneth Schott officiated.
