Helen C. Roller

Helen C. Roller, 96 of Carmichaels, Pa., died at 11:50 A.M. on Friday, September 26, 2008 at Colville Personal Care Home, Masontown, Pa. She was born April 10, 1912 in Fayette Co., Pa. a daughter of the late John and Pauline (Jellick) Lewandowsky. Mrs. Roller was a homemaker and enjoyed bird watching. She was a member of St. Hugh Roman Catholic Church in Carmichaels, Pa. On October 17, 1942 she married Eugene F. "Gene" Roller, who died January 11, 2001. Surviving is a daughter Mary Frances Bystry and her husband Andrew of Carmichaels, Pa.; three grandchildren, Andrew Bystry, Jr., David Bystry and Patricia A. Plummer and one sister Mary Louise Dulik and her husband Joseph of Masontown, Pa. Deceased in addition to her husband and parents are eight brothers, Thomas Kotnosky, Stanley, Clyde, Walter, Edward, Eugene, Joe and Ronald Lewandowsky and two sisters, Bernice Palone and Annie Macioczek. Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 8 P.M. on Sunday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. A blessing service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, September 29, 2008, followed by a Mass of the Resurrection at 11:00 A.M. at St. Hugh Roman Catholic Church, 408 Route 88, Carmichaels with the Rev. John M. Bauer as celebrant. Interment will follow at Greene County Memorial Park. A vigil service will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Sunday in the funeral home. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice Care, Inc., P. O. Box 102, Carmichaels, PA 15320.
