Norma I. Brumley Magdich, 79 of Knoxville, Tenn. and formerly of Allison, Pa., died at 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 26, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospice, Halls, Tenn. She was born May 28, 1929 in Fayette County, Pa., a daughter of the late James Thomas and Genevieve Irene (Hawkins) Brumley. Mrs. Magdich attended the West Park Baptist Church in Knoxville as long has her health permitted and enjoyed crocheting, sewing and quilting. On January 31, 1948, she married Louis Magdich, who died January 6, 2004. Surviving are a daughter, Marlene J. Settle and her husband, Lawrence of Knoxville; three brothers, James Brumley and his wife, Mary of Brunswick, Ga., Roy Brumley and David Brumley and his wife, Ella, all of Greensboro, Pa.; four sisters, Delores Bogovich and her husband, Joe of Akron, Ohio, Mary Lou Nitsche and her husband, Klaus of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Judy Whipkey of Greensboro and Sandy Szerenski and her husband, Tom of Masontown, Pa. and several nieces and nephews. Deceased is a brother, Thomas Brumley. Family and friends are welcome from 6 to 8 P.M. on Thursday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where the funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, October 31, 2008. The Rev. Kenneth A. Haines will officiate. Interment will follow at Monongahela Hill Cemetery, Mapletown, Pa. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601-7333.
