Mary Ann Zaby, 70 of Greensboro, Pa. died Friday, November 28, 2008 following a brief illness. She was born April 8, 1938 in Monongahela Township, Greene County, Pa. a daughter of the late George and Anna (Petechell) Zaby. Miss Zaby was a 1958 graduate of Mapletown High School and lived most of her life in the Greensboro (Penn Pitt) area. She worked in the cafeteria of the Mapletown High School, having retired in 2000. Miss Zaby was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Greensboro. Surviving are three nieces, Lisa Slok of Painesville, Ohio, Debbie Brettrager and her husband Scott of Painesville, Ohio and Tina McCormick and her husband Tim of Bobtown, Pa.; nine great nieces and nephews, Tabitha, Ron, Timmy, Sr., Kimmy, Emily, Rob, Timmy, Jr., Johnetta and Brandon; one sister-in-law, Marie Zaby of Bobtown, Pa., and three aunts, Mary Groflo, Margaret Mirisiciotti and Helen Lipscomb. Deceased in addition to her parents are two brothers, George Zaby who died in infancy and John C. Zaby. Family and friends are welcomed from 1 to 3 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home (724-966-5500), Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street (Route 88), Carmichaels, Pa., where a Blessing Service will be held Monday, December 1, 2008 at 10:15 A.M. followed by a Mass of the Resurrection at 11:00 A.M. in the Holy Family Worship Site of the St. Ignatius of Antioch Parish, Greensboro with the Rev. Lawrence V. Holpp as celebrant. Interment will follow at Monongahela Hill Cemetery, Greensboro. A Vigil Service will be held at 7:30 P.M. on Sunday in the Funeral Home.
