Randy R. Luoma

Randy R. Luoma, 55 of Carmichaels, Pa., died unexpectedly Wednesday morning, January 14, 2009 in his home. He was born August 5, 1953 in Waynesburg, Pa. a son of Jessie J. (Lowther) Luoma of Carmichaels and the late Wayne Luoma. Randy was a graduate of Carmichaels Area High School and resided most of his life in the Carmichaels area. He was a former member of the Carmichaels and Cumberland Township Volunteer Fire Company and a member of the Dry Tavern Sportsman's Club, the Crucible Slavonic Club and the Rices Landing Athletic Club. Randy enjoyed fishing, playing cards and spending time at the Red Star Inn in Carmichaels. He was a loving father and grandfather. Surviving in addition to his mother are a daughter, Kelley R. Pratt and her husband, Cory of Carmichaels; two granddaughters, Kaitlyn R. Pratt and Allyson R. Pratt both at home; a brother William W. Luoma and his wife, Saundra of Carmichaels; two nephews, David Luoma and his wife, Sara of Sumter, S. C. and Timothy Luoma and his wife, Veronica of Carmichaels; a niece Cynthia Voithofer and her husband, James of Carmichaels and several great nieces and nephews. Also surviving is the mother of his daughter, Sharon R. Luoma of Carmichaels. Family and friends are welcome from 7 to 9 P.M. on Thursday and 2 to 4 P.M. and 7 to 8 P.M. on Friday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. The funeral service will be held at 8:00 P.M. Friday, January 16, 2009 following the visitation in the funeral home with Pastor Chuck Durso officiating. Interment will be private at Laurel Point Cemetery, Carmichaels.
