Mary Elizabeth Hillsman

Mary Elizabeth Hillsman, 94 of Nemacolin, Pa., died at 9:55 P.M. on Saturday, January 24, 2009 in the Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Waynesburg, Pa. She was born March 18, 1914 in Menallen Township, Fayette County, Pa., a daughter of the late Michael and Catherine (Soter) Kaydo. Mrs. Hillsman resided in Nemacolin since 1945 where she was a member of the Our Lady of Consolation Church and the Rosary Society of the Church. On April 8, 1935, she married John J. Hillsman, who died January 26, 1976. Surviving are three sons, Matthew J. Hillsman of Portales, N. M., John J. Hillsman and his wife, Ethelda of Mountain City, Tenn. and Michael E. Hillsman and his wife, Theresa of Nemacolin; four daughters, Janet Carpinelli and her husband, John of Clermont, Fla., Connie Boyle and her husband, Tim of North Port, Fla., Bernardine Estanich and her husband, Anthony (Pooch) of Morrow, Ohio and Barbara Kelly and her husband, Donald (Butch) of Carmichaels; 17 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are seven brothers, John, Steve, Michael, Joseph, Tony, Albert and her twin, Frank Kaydo and a sister, Katherine Zsiros. Family and friends are welcome from 7 to 9 P.M. on Tuesday and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. on Wednesday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where a blessing service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, January 29, 2009. A Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday at St. Hugh Roman Catholic Church, Carmichaels with the Rev. John M. Bauer as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Crucible. A vigil service will be held in the funeral home at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday.
