Alexander Neino, Jr.

Alexander Neino, Jr, 86 of Greensboro (Mapletown), Pa., died at 1:45 P.M. on Thursday, January 29, 2009 at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Waynesburg, Pa. after a lengthy illness. He was born May 25, 1922 in Monongahela Township, Greene County, Pa., a son of the late Alexander and Violet (Hanlin) Neino. Mr. Neino resided in Mapletown for the past 35 years where he was a member of the Mapletown United Methodist Church. He owned and operated Al's Fence Company in Greensboro for 40 years retiring in 2006. Mr. Neino was a member of the Son's of Cumberland American Legion Post 400 of Carmichaels, a social member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6303 of Greensboro and was a lifetime member of the Bobtown Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed harness racing, hunting, fishing and playing his guitar. On December 29, 1943, he married Evelyn A. Jenkins, who survives. Also surviving are four sons, Alexander Neino, III and his wife, Treva of Grosse Ile, Mich., Bruce W. Neino and his wife, Donna of Greensboro, Gary C. Neino and his wife, Teresa of Canton, Mich. and Anthony S. Neino and his wife, Michele of Masontown, Pa.; four daughters, Sandy L. King and her husband, Frank of Westland, Mich., Brenda J. Brumley and her husband, Ed, Tina S. Gaskill and her husband, Leonard and Pamela L. Loring and her husband, Charles, all of Greensboro; 15 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a sister, Betty J. Bryant and her husband, Robert of Moultrie, Georgia and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a brother, John Neino and two sisters, Juanita Boone and Gloria Dean. Family and friends are welcome from 7 to 9 P.M. on Saturday and Noon to 3 and 6 to 8 P.M. on Sunday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, February 2, 2009 with Pastor Kenneth A. Haines officiating. Interment will follow at Monongahela Hill Cemetery, Mapletown. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Mapletown United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 502, Greensboro, PA 15338.
