Michelene Mona Palone

Michelene Mona Palone, 85 of Carmichaels, Pa., died at 1:20 A.M. on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at Rolling Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation, Waynesburg, Pa. She was born June 8, 1923 in Tower Hill No. 2, Fayette County, Pa., a daughter of the late Larry and Anna (Mailo) Pavlikowski. Mrs. Palone was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Carmichaels where she was a member of the Christian Women's Fellowship. She enjoyed walking with her friends and reading books. In 1948, she married Samuel Palone, Sr., who died January 31, 1995. Surviving are a son, Samual Palone and his wife, Cheryl of Burlington, N. C. and formerly of Carmichaels; a grandson, Bradley Miles Palone and his wife, Tanya of Burlington; three great grandchildren, Austin Miles Palone, Dakota Skylar Palone and Matthew Gregory Sine; two sisters, Estelda Riley and Elaine Maletta and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a daughter, Mona Lea Palone, who died in 2003; a grandson, Brian Michael Palone, who died in 2002; two brothers, Alex Mailo and Raymond Mailo and a sister, Marie Rolek. Family and friends are welcome from 4 to 8 P.M. on Thursday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 20, 2009 with the Rev. Reagan L. Fike officiating. Interment will follow at Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg, Pa. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the First Christian Church, P. O. Box 193, Carmichaels, PA 15320-0193.
