Anna Krewasky

Anna Krewasky, 94 of Rices Landing (Serbiantown), Pa., died at 3:25 A.M. on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at Rolling Meadows Nursing & Rehabilitation, Waynesburg, Pa. She was born August 19, 1914 in Crows Nest, Westmoreland County, Pa., a daughter of the late Milich and Milica (Crnkovich) Evosevich. Mrs. Krewasky resided in Cumberland Township, Greene County most of her life and was a member of the St. George Serbian Orthodox Church of Carmichaels. She was a member of the church choir and was the first president of the St. George Circle of Serbian Sisters. Mrs. Krewasky enjoyed crocheting, sewing and baking and was recognized by the Honorable H. Terry Grimes about 10 years ago for voting in 50 consecutive general elections. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was a loving "mother" to many in the community. On October 8, 1935, she married Miljus "Pap" Krewasky, who died in November of 1977. Surviving are a son, Milos "Serb" Krewasky of Rices Landing; a daughter, Tina Rebich and her husband, Dushan of Trafford, Pa.; two grandsons, Daniel Rebich and his wife, Laurie and David Rebich and his wife, Ruthann; four great grandchildren, Alexander, Adam, Elizabeth and Peter Rebich; three sisters, Marian Semosky of Brunswick, Ohio, Mildred Zorman of Crucible, Pa. and Stella Shlosky of Nemacolin, Pa.; several nieces and nephews and a very special friend, Josephine Gresko of Carmichaels. Deceased are two brothers, Michael Evosevich and Milan Evosevich and three sisters, Eva Modrick Popincak, Sue Catanese and Katherine Grooms. Family and friends are welcome from 7 to 9 P. M. on Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P. M. on Friday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. Family and friends are asked to meet for the funeral service at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at the St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, 296 Old Route 21 Road, Carmichaels, Pa. The Very Rev. Dr. Rodney Torbic will officiate. Interment will follow in the St. George Serbian Orthodox Cemetery. A Pomen Service will be held at 7:30 P. M. on Friday in the funeral home.
