Helen F. Hawker Sethman

Helen F. Hawker Sethman, 93 of Uniontown, Pa. and formerly of Carmichaels, Pa., died at 10:45 A.M. on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at Hillside Manor Personal Care Home, Uniontown. She was born May 1, 1916 in Newell, Pa., a daughter of the late Robert Ray and Lelah Lynn (Lynch) Hawker. Mrs. Sethman was a 1934 graduate of the South Brownsville High School and resided in Carmichaels since 1957. She was a longtime member of the Greene Valley Presbyterian Church of Carmichaels and a member of Emerald Chapter No. 135, O. E. S. of Waynesburg, Pa. Mrs. Sethman was a charter member of the Greene Academy of Art in Carmichaels and a former member of the Ideal Chapter No. 213, O. E. S., Masontown, Pa. On May 15, 1937, she married Alex W. Sethman, who died December 25, 1999. Surviving are a son, Robert R. Sethman and his wife, Edith "Dee" of Uniontown; two grandchildren, Kelly R. Wilczynski and her husband, Thomas of Carmichaels and Chad R. Sethman and his wife, Rachel of Carmichaels; two great grandchildren, Matthew and Ethan Wilczynski and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are two brothers, James P. Hawker and William Robert Hawker. Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. on Tuesday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at the Greene Valley Presbyterian Church, 104 E. Greene St., Carmichaels, Pa. with the Rev. Harold O. Kelley and the Rev. Bobby G. Griffith officiating. Interment will follow at Laurel Point Cemetery, Carmichaels. Emerald Chapter No. 135, O. E. S. will conduct a memorial service at 7:00 P.
