Richard F. Heaton, 75 of Greensboro, Pa. and formerly of Cleveland, Ohio, died at 11:30 A.M. on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at Southwest Regional Medical Center, Waynesburg, Pa. He was born January 16, 1934 in Cleveland, a son of the late Bernard Heaton and Dorothy (Merritt) Parr. Mr. Heaton served with the U. S. Army from 1958 until 1960 and resided in Greene County, Pa. since March of 2003. He worked as a machinist for the Catepillar Corporation in Cleveland until his retirement in 1979. Mr. Heaton was a social member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1056 of Euclid, Ohio and enjoyed listening to music. Surviving are his wife, Donna G. Wolford Heaton; a son, Keith A. Heaton and his wife, Mary of Montville, Ohio; two daughters, Karen L. Fryman of Greensboro and Kim A. Trinkle of Mentor, Ohio; three grandchildren, Ashley Trinkle, Kayla Trinkle and Bob Bartholomai; a brother, Bert Heaton and his wife, Mal of Fort Myers, Fla.; a half brother, Christopher Heaton of Utah; a half sister, Bernadett Carter of California and several nieces and nephews. Deceased is a brother, Ted Heaton. There will be no public viewing or memorial service. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
