Lois E. Vernon, 55 of Jefferson, Pa., died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at her home. She was born January 20, 1954, a daughter of the late George Roy and Elma Louise (Mundell) Hixon. Surviving are a brother, Rodney R. Hixon and his wife, Diana of Sycamore, Pa. and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a son, Arthur R. Vernon; a brother, Randy L. Hixon and a sister, Drucilla E. (Angel) Taylor. Family and friends are welcome from 5 to 8 P. M. on Saturday, May 30, 2009 in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. The funeral service will be held at 8:00 P. M. on Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. P. Keith Larson officiating. Private interment will take place at Muddy Creek Cemetery, Jefferson.
