Ronald Jughead Johnston, Sr.

Ronald "Jughead" Johnston, Sr., 63 of McDonald, Tenn. and formerly of Carmichaels, Pa., went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 in his home after a brief illness. He was born July 2, 1945 in Bobtown, Pa. Mr. Johnston retired from the Gateway Mine in Greene County and at one time, attended the Church of God in Carmichaels. He was saved on June 24, 2009. On September 3, 1969, he married Judy Patterson, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Rhonda Holbert and her husband, Jeff and Sherri Chapman and her husband, Phillip, all of Cleveland, Tenn.; three granddaughters, Annie Holbert, Sierra Johnston and Breanna Chapman; two sisters, Gloria Bonfili and her husband, Bruce of Morgantown, W. Va. and Doris Epperson and her husband, Don of Decator, Tenn. and several nieces and nephews. Deceased is a son, Ron Johnston, Jr. Friends will be received from 4 to 7 P.M. on Friday, July 3, 2009 in the Jim Rush Funeral Homes, 220 Wildwood Ave., Cleveland, Tenn. where the funeral service will follow the visitation at 7:00 P. M. on Friday. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Family Home Care and Hospice, 175 24th St., N. W., Cleveland, TN 37311.
