Judy Gumbert

Judy Gumbert, 59 of Carmichaels, Pa., died at 6:55 P. M. on Thursday, July 16, 2009 in her home. She was born October 24, 1949 in Wetzel County, W. Va., a daughter of the late Paul W. and Esther J. (Cottrell) Bates. Mrs. Gumbert was a graduate of Valley High School, Pine Grove, W. Va. and resided in Carmichaels for the past 10 years. She had worked as a pharmacy clerk at Harmon's Drug and Rite Aid in New Martinsville, W. Va. Mrs. Gumbert enjoyed cross stitching, collecting dolls and Boyd's Bears. On December 18, 1999, she married Norman E. Gumbert, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Darren Hinerman and his wife, Kellie C. Baxter of White, Ga.; a brother, Richard P. Bates of Folsom, W. Va.; a sister, Frances M. Holt and her husband, Michael of New Martinsville; a niece, Heather Holt of New Martinsville; two nephews, Chris Holt of New Martinsville and Adam Horne of Charleroi, Pa.; two sisters-in-law, Denise Horne of Charleroi and Andrea Gumbert of Pittsburgh, Pa. and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wayne and Patricia Gumbert of Charleroi. Family and friends are welcome from Noon to 3 and 6 to 8 P.M. on Sunday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where the funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, July 20, 2009. Rev. Randy Landman and Mrs. Betty Merckle will officiate. Interment will follow at Maple Creek Cemetery, Fallowfield Township, Washington County, Pa. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
