James Eugene "Jamie" Hart, 65 of Carmichaels, Pa. died Thursday, September 3, 2009. He was born December 27, 1943 a son of the late John Talmage and Helen (Guess) Hart. Jamie lived all of his life in Carmichaels on the family farm. Jamie owned and operated a Dairy Farm from 1966 till 1974. He then started working for Emerald Mines as a heavy equipment operator and diesel mechanic having retired in February 2007 with over thirty years of service. Jamie was an avid racing fan, he enjoyed watching NASCAR, Sprint and Dirt Track races. He collected and rebuilt antique tractors, enjoyed square dancing with the Greene County Square Dancers, Bluegrass and Oldies music. Jamie was a member of the United Mine Workers of America and the Carmichaels Grange #1389. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and enjoyed hunting on his farm. On January 27, 1971 he married Cheryl Ann (Varesko) Hart who survives. Also surviving is a son James Talmage Hart and his wife, Stacie of Panama City, FL; a daughter Melissa Ann Ealy and her husband, Patrick Mark of Prosperity, Pa.; two grandchildren, Lucas Nunn and Madison Ann Hart; a brother Charles William Hart and his wife, Gloria of Dilliner, Pa.; a brother-in-law William D. Whipkey, brother-in-law Robert R. Varesko, Jr. and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Brice and Linda Rush. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews and cousins. Deceased are two brothers, Bobby and Russell Hart; a half brother Franklin Hart and a sister Martha Whipkey. Family and friends are welcomed from 3 to 8 P.M. Sunday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where funeral services will be held Monday, September 7, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Reagan L. Fike officiating. Interment will follow in Glades Cemetery, Carmichaels, Pa. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society of Greene County, 183 Jefferson Rd., Waynesburg, Pa. 15370 or a Charity of one's choice.
