Eleanor Ridgway Gallatin, 92 of Greensboro, Pa. died at 1:45 A.M. on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 in Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Waynesburg, Pa. She was born July 7, 1917 in Connellsville, Pa. a daughter of the late Charles Felger and Mary (Yowler) Ridgway. Mrs. Gallatin was a 1936 graduate of the former Pt. Marion High School and lived in the Greensboro area most of her life. She was a member of the Mapletown United Methodist Church. Mrs. Gallatin enjoyed crocheting, reading and cooking. On August 14, 1937 she married Calvin G. Gallatin who died August 26, 1986. Surviving are a son Charles J. Gallatin and his wife, Christine of Carmichaels, Pa. and a daughter Nancy Gallatin Lint Haines of Greensboro, Pa.; four grandchildren, Craig Lint, Callie Remia, James Gallatin and Lisa McConnell; three great grandchildren, Hannah McConnell, Matthew Cubberley and Meredith Patterson. Also surviving is a cousin Olive Caldwell of Columbus, Ohio. Deceased in addition to her husband and parents are two granddaughters, Laura Marie Gallatin who died Sept. 5, 1972 and Nancy Lynn Lint Patterson who died Nov. 21, 2006 and two brothers, Meredith Ridgway and Duane Ridgeway. Family and friends are welcomed from 2 to 4 P.M. and 7 to 9 P.M. on Friday, September 18, 2009 in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. Funeral services and interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Mapletown United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 502, Greensboro, Pa. 15338-0502.
