Mark Grizzly Allen Hardy

Mark "Grizzly" Allen Hardy, 54 of Chesterfield, Va. and formerly of Carmichaels, Pa., died on Friday, September 11, 2009 at Retreats Doctor Hospital, Richmond, Va. He was born May 8, 1955 in Waynesburg, Pa. a son of Marlene E. (Reed) Hardy of Carmichaels and the late Warren "Bud" Hardy. Mr. Hardy was a 1973 graduate of Carmichaels Area High School and worked as a truck driver for Abilene Motor Express in Richmond for nine years. He enjoyed fishing and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Surviving are his wife, Jean M. Hardy; a son Daniel Hardy and his companion, Shante of Rio Rancho, N. M. and their children, Azarian and Nakoa Hardy; a step-son, Andrew Bean of Chesterfield; a step daughter, December Sunshine Williams and her husband, Rocky of Albuquerque, N. M. and their daughter, Riley Williams; a brother, W. Lou Hardy and his wife, Rose of Williamsburg, Va.; a sister, Marsha McMinn and her husband, Albert of Carmichaels and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are his maternal grandparents, Charles and Dorothy Reed and his paternal grandparents, Walter and Florence Hardy. Family and friends are welcome to attend a memorial service at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 10, 2009 in the Greene Valley Presbyterian Church, 104 East Greene Street, Carmichaels, Pa. Pastor P. Keith Larson and Rev. Harold O. Kelley will officiate. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Memorial Fund of the Greene Valley Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 363, Carmichaels, PA 15320-0363.
