Carolyn E. Franczek

Carolyn E. Franczek, 87 of Nemacolin, Pa. and formerly of Carmichaels, Pa., died at 2:40 P.M. on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Waynesburg, Pa. She was born June 2, 1922 in Star Junction, Fayette County, Pa., a daughter of the late John and Gladys (Conn) Kash. Mrs. Franczek was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church of Carmichaels. On February 6, 1943, she married Joseph Franczek, Jr., who died August 23, 2005. Mrs. Franczek resided in Cumberland Township, Greene County nearly all of her married life. Surviving are two sons, Joseph A. Franczek and his wife, Janet of Madison, Ohio and Harold M. Franczek and his wife, Linda of Mentor, Ohio; six grandchildren, Harold, Michael, Linda, Scott, Susan and Barbara and nine great grandchildren. Deceased is a great grandchild, a sister, Freda Guseman and a brother who died in infancy. Family and friends are welcome from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M., the hour of service on Friday, February 5, 2010 in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. The Rev. Reagan L. Fike will officiate. Interment will follow at Laurel Point Cemetery, Carmichaels.
