William H. Forsyth, 80 of Nemacolin, Pa., died at 5:15 P.M. on Thursday, February 25, 2010 in the Washington Hospital, Washington, Pa. He was born July 4, 1929 in Nemacolin a son of the late Emmett Leslie and Luella (Thompson) Forsyth. Mr. Forsyth was a graduate of Cumberland Township High School and resided in Greene County his entire life. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served in the Korean Conflict. Mr. Forsyth worked at the Nemacolin Supply Company for most of his life and retired at the manager. He was a member of the Greene Valley Presbyterian Church, Carmichaels, Pa. Surviving is a brother Emmett E. Forsyth and his wife Doris of Fairfax, Va. and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his parents are five brothers, Harry L. Forsyth, C. Leslie Forsyth, Kenneth A. Forsyth, Melvin A. Forsyth and Paul E. Forsyth and two sisters, Helen Louise Forsyth and Ruth Irene Powell. Family and friends are welcomed from Noon to 3:00 P.M. and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa., where services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, March 1, 2010 with the Rev. P. Keith Larson officiating. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery, Monongahela, Pa. Cumberland American Legion Post 400 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3491 will accord military honors. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Greene Valley Presbyterian Church, P. O. Box 363, Carmichaels, PA 15320-0363.
