Maude Bair Clark

Maude Bair Clark, 98 of Rices Landing, Pa., died at 4:15 P.M. on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Golden Living Center, Waynesburg, Pa. She was born March 15, 1911 in Claridge, Pa., a daughter of the late Hugh and Jane Elizabeth (Eales) Ritson. Mrs. Clark resided in the Rices Landing and Carmichaels areas most of her life and was a member of the Rices Landing United Methodist Church. She was a former member of the Grace Taylor Sunday school class. Mrs. Clark enjoyed quilting, traveling and playing Yatzee, Scrabble and Skip-bo. In 1928, she married John Bair, who died in 1974. In October of 1976, she married Oscar L. Clark, who died February 17, 1994. Surviving are a son, John R. Bair and his wife, Mildred of Carmichaels; three daughters, Irene Hankins and her husband, Thomas of Holly Ridge, N. C., Shirley Forshey and her husband, James of Placerville, Cal. and Jane Mitchell and her husband, Charles of Rices Landing; 11 grandchildren, Christopher Mitchell, John R. Bair, Susan Harshman, Lisa DeMola, Marcia Chernisky, Jimmy Forshey, Marilyn Pollock, Perry Adams, Lavonne Adams, Vicki Marrs and Danny Adams; 18 great grandchildren; 13 great great grandchildren; special nieces, Dorothy Batzel and Mary McCollough and several additional nieces and nephews. Deceased are a grandson, Richard Bair; two brothers, Wallace Ritson and Bill Ritson; three sisters, Maggie Mull, Irene Getty and Jane Klingensmith; three stepsons, Oscar Lee Clark, Terry Clark and Jack Clark and a stepdaughter, Ella Mae Belan. Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. on Monday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 9, 2010. Pastor Edward Woods will officiate. Interment will follow at Greene County Memorial Park. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Trinity Baptist Church, 821 East Roy Furman Hwy., Waynesburg, PA 15370.
