Geraldine L. Warner, 69 of Greensboro, Pa., and formerly of Ruff Creek, Carmichaels and Mount Morris, Pa., died at 3:38 P.M. on Monday, March 8, 2010 at the Southwest Regional Medical Center, Waynesburg, Pa. She was born February 10, 1941 in Haydentown, Fayette County, Pa., a daughter of the late Clarence J. and Nannie May (Piper) Higginbotham. Mrs. Warner worked for Addressograph-Multigraph Corporation in Cleveland, Ohio and later the Gladieux Cafeteria in Cleveland as a supervisor. She enjoyed softball, volleyball, bowling, fishing, hunting and camping. Mrs. Warner owned and operated L & G Country Market in Cabbage Flats, Greensboro for a number of years and, at one time, was employed by the Loyal Order of Moose and the Shop N Save in Waynesburg, Pa. She was a member of the American Legion Post 499 Auxiliary in Point Marion, Pa., a social member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6303, Greensboro and a member of the Mount Morris Sportsmen's Club. Surviving are her husband, Lewis N. Warner; three sons, Chris C. Wheaton and his wife, Lisa of Palmdale, Cal, Randy A. Wheaton and his wife, Janine of Eastlake, Ohio and Douglas E. Wheaton of Phoenix, Ariz.; six grandchildren and a great grandchild. Deceased are her first husband, Charles Wheaton; her second husband, Gerald Cooke; a brother, Lloyd Higginbotham and two sisters, Mary Farmer and Thelma Gacanick. Family and friends are welcome from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M., the hour of service on Friday, March 12, 2010 in the Yoskovich Funeral Home , Carmichaels, Pa. Pastor R. Scott Teets will officiate. Private interment will follow at Laurel Point Cemetery, Carmichaels. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6303, Greensboro, PA 15338.
