Catherine V. Palone

Catherine V. Palone, 85 of Rices Landing, Pa., died at 10:10 A.M. on Monday, March 29, 2010 at the Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa. She was born October 4, 1924 in Moundsville, W. Va., a daughter of the late George and Helen (Bromelow) McMasters. Mrs. Palone was a homemaker and resided most of her life in Dry Tavern. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. On December 31, 1942, she married Fred Palone, Sr., who died June 22, 1998. Surviving are two sons, Fred K. Palone and his wife, Suzanne of Naples, Fla. and Norman A. Palone of Mather, Pa.; two daughters, Judith Bochnak and her husband, John of Rices Landing and Cathy Sapinsky and her husband, Ed of Smithton, Pa.; 10 grandchildren, Susan Palone, Tracy Feeman, Robin Hall, Timothy Bochnak, Jane Pushkar, Tammy Bochnak, Brandi McGrady, Kristi Bochnak, Heath Palone and Cindy Norman; 13 great grandchildren; a brother, Earl McMasters of New Castle, Pa. and several nieces and nephews. Deceased is a daughter, Jane Annette Palone who died in childhood. Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. on Friday and Noon to 1:00 P.M., the hour of service on Saturday, April 3, 2010 in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. The Rev. Domenick Sgro will officiate. Interment will follow at Greene County Memorial Park.
