Pauline D. Kovach, 93, of Greensboro, Pa., died at 7:21 A.M. on Sunday, August 1, 2010 in her home. She was born March 21, 1917 in Perryopolis, Pa., a daughter of the late Abraham Joseph and Helen (Myers) Nassar. Mrs. Kovach was a 1936 graduate of Mapletown High School and resided in the Greensboro area most of her life. She served as an elder and Sunday school teacher at the Greensboro Presbyterian Church and enjoyed cooking and making pastries. Mrs. Kovach was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. On July 25, 1940, she married Andrew Kovach, who survives. Also surviving are a son Andrew L. Kovach and his wife, Cindy of Morristown, N. J.; a daughter, Sandra L. Engott and her husband, (Raymond) of Richmond, Va.; two grandchildren, Raymond Andrew Engott and Courtney Leigh Masseur and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are three brothers, Joseph Nassar, Richard Nassar and William Nassar and four sisters, Yvonne "Bonnie" Mesich, Gloria Tinkey, Ida Simon and Elizabeth Mikalic. Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. on Tuesday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 4, 2010. The Rev. Dr. Robert M. Randolph will officiate. Interment will follow at Monongahela Hill Cemetery, Mapletown, Pa. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Amedisys Hospice Masontown, 102 South Main Street, Masontown, PA 15461.
