Ruth Stevulak

Ruth Stevulak, 87 of Salisbury, Md. and formerly of Carmichaels and Nemacolin, Pa., died at 9:35 A.M. on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 in Wicomico Nursing Home, Salisbury. She was born April 3, 1923 in Nemacolin, Pa., a daughter of the late Vernon and Addie (Silman) Grubbs. On July 7, 1943, she married John M. Stevulak, who died May 31, 2000. He and the six children they raised together was the centerpiece of her life. Mrs. Stevulak was a 1942 graduate of Cumberland Township High School in Carmichaels. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Carmichaels and former Nemacolin Presbyterian Church in Nemacolin. Surviving are two sons, John Michael "Mickey" Stevulak of Gainesville, Va. and David A. Stevulak of Manassas, Va.; four daughters, Patty Presock and her husband, Bernie of Leesburg, Va., Stevie Prettyman and her husband, William of Salisbury, Catherine Custis and her husband, William of Chesapeake, Md. and Janet Virgili and her husband, Dean of Rices Landing, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn Grubbs of Rices Landing and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are an infant brother Raymond Grubbs and seven sisters, Lyndall West, Mildred Garrison, Ella Sue Mason, Mamie McClarren, Ethel Day, Helen Nopwasky and Catherine Grubbs. Family and friends are welcome from 11:00 to 12:00 P.M. the hour of services on Saturday, September 18, 2010 in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. with Rev. Reagan L. Fike officiating. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg, Pa. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to: Wicomico Nursing Home, 900 Booth Street, Salisbury, MD 21802.
