Patricia A. Phillips, 70 of Carmichaels, Pa., died at 3:14 P.M. on Sunday, September 26, 2010 in her home after a brief battle with mesothelioma. She was born February 13, 1940 in Cumberland Township, Greene County, Pa., a daughter of the late Alan Monroe and Mildred Irene (Zimmerman) Workman. Mrs. Phillips attended Mount Pleasant High School and resided in the Carmichaels area most of her life. She attended the Greene Valley Presbyterian Church of Carmichaels and the Church of God in Kecksburg, Pa. Mrs. Phillips had been employed at Greenway Manufacturing in Nemacolin, Pa. and also worked as a hairdresser for 15 years for Josephine Gresko. She enjoyed flowers, canning and taking care of her family. On November 21, 1959, she married Robert G. Phillips, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Pamela S. Judy and her husband Robert of Carmichaels and Kimberly A. Jones and her husband Kenneth, Jr. of Wind Ridge, Pa.; five grandchildren, Kristen N. Judy, Phillip M. Judy, Kenneth "D. J." Jones, Kaitlyn A. Jones and Logan J. Phillips; two sisters, Virginia Lint of Norristown, Pa. and Jane "Pic" Kovacina of Kecksburg, Pa.; her mother-in-law, Rosa M. Phillips of Carmichaels and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a son, Robert G. "Bobby" Phillips, Jr.; a brother, Harry Workman and three sisters, Doris Jean Workman, who died in infancy, Ruth R. Sanner and Marie Newell. Family and friends are welcome from 7 to 9 P.M. on Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. on Wednesday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 30, 2010. The Rev. Donald Wilson will officiate. Interment will follow at Muddy Creek Cemetery, Jefferson Township, Greene County, Pa.
